Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 1, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Norse Foundry LLC ("Norse Foundry," "we," "us") collects, uses, shares, and protects personal information when you visit www.norsefoundry.com (the "Site"), make a purchase, contact us, or otherwise interact with us. It also explains the choices and rights you have.
1. Who we are and how to reach us
Norse Foundry LLC is the business responsible for your personal information (the "controller" under the GDPR).
- Email: info@norsefoundry.com
- Mail: Norse Foundry LLC, 20791 Three Oaks Parkway Unit 1354, Estero, Florida 33928-3194, United States
- Privacy requests: Customer Data Requests or the email above
2. Information we collect
Information you give us
- Order and account information: name, billing and shipping address, email, phone number, order history, and account login details. Payment card details are entered into and processed by our payment processors (such as Shopify Payments and PayPal); we do not store full card numbers.
- Customer support: what you send us through our help desk, email, or the on-site chat, including your name, email, order details, and the content of your messages.
- Restock alerts: if you ask to be notified when a product is back in stock, your name, email, and, if you choose, your mobile number and country, plus your preferred channel (email, SMS, or WhatsApp).
- Marketing sign-ups: your email address when you subscribe to our newsletter or promotions.
- Rewards and wholesale: information you provide to join a rewards program or to apply for a wholesale account.
Information collected automatically
When you use the Site, we and our partners collect device and usage information, such as IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, browser and device type, pages and products viewed, search terms, referring site, the date and time of your visit, and how you interact with the Site. This is collected through cookies, pixels, tags, and similar technologies (see Section 3).
Information from others
We may receive information from Shopify, payment processors, shipping carriers, and advertising and analytics partners, such as delivery status, fraud-screening results, or aggregated ad performance.
3. Cookies, pixels, and similar technologies
We use cookies and similar technologies in four categories:
| Category | What it does | Examples |
|---|---|---|
| Strictly necessary | Runs the store: cart, checkout, login, security, remembering your privacy choices | Shopify, Pandectes (our consent manager) |
| Preferences | Remembers settings such as region and currency | Shopify |
| Analytics | Helps us understand how the Site is used so we can improve it | Google Analytics, Shopify analytics |
| Marketing | Measures our ads and shows you relevant Norse Foundry ads on other sites and apps | Meta Pixel (Facebook/Instagram), Google Ads, Google Merchant Center |
When you load the Site, these partners may receive information such as your IP address, the pages you view, the products you add to your cart, and your purchases.
Your consent choices. A privacy banner lets you accept, decline, or customize non-essential cookies, and you can change your choice at any time using Your Privacy Choices. Wherever you are, analytics and marketing technologies stay off until you click Accept. If you accept and later change your mind, withdrawing consent stops future collection and sharing, but it can't undo information already sent while consent was on.
We use Google Consent Mode, which tells Google tags whether you have consented so they adjust what they collect.
Global Privacy Control. We honor the Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal. If your browser sends it, we treat it as a request to opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information and of targeted advertising for that browser.
Do Not Track. Because there is no common standard for "Do Not Track" browser signals, we do not respond to them. We do honor GPC as described above.
You can also block or delete cookies through your browser settings, though parts of the Site may not work properly if you do.
4. How we use your information
- To process and ship orders, handle returns, and send order confirmations and shipping updates.
- To provide customer support and answer chat, help desk, and email messages.
- To send restock alerts you asked for.
- To send marketing emails you signed up for (you can unsubscribe at any time).
- To run, secure, and improve the Site, including analytics and fixing errors.
- To measure and deliver advertising, subject to your choices in Section 3.
- To detect and prevent fraud and abuse.
- To comply with law and protect our rights.
Automated decisions. We do not make fully automated decisions that have a legal or similarly significant effect on you. Our platform provider Shopify uses limited automated fraud screening, such as temporarily blocking an IP address after repeated failed payment attempts (for a few hours) and temporarily blocking cards tied to those addresses (for a few days).
5. How we share your information
We share personal information with:
- Service providers that run our business on our behalf: Shopify (store platform and hosting), payment processors, shipping carriers and our fulfillment partner, our help desk and chat tools, our email platform (Sendy, which sends through Amazon Web Services), our consent manager, and the apps that power restock alerts, rewards, discounts, product bundles, and wholesale accounts. They may use your information only to provide services to us.
- Advertising and analytics partners, such as Meta and Google, as described in Section 3. These partners may combine information from the Site with information they hold about you and use it under their own privacy policies: Meta · Google.
- Legal and safety: when required by law, subpoena, or court order, or to protect the rights, property, or safety of Norse Foundry, our customers, or others.
- Business transfers: if Norse Foundry is involved in a merger, acquisition, financing, or sale of assets, personal information may be transferred as part of that transaction.
"Sale" and "sharing" under US state laws. We do not sell personal information for money. However, letting advertising partners such as Meta and Google collect information through our Site for targeted advertising may count as a "sale" or "sharing" of personal information, or as "targeted advertising," under California and other state privacy laws. In the past 12 months, the categories involved were identifiers (such as IP address and cookie IDs), internet activity (pages and products viewed), and commercial information (products added to cart or purchased), shared with advertising and analytics partners. You can opt out at any time — see Section 7.
We do not knowingly sell or share the personal information of anyone under 16.
Opting out of interest-based ads more broadly: Meta ad preferences · Google ad settings · Google Analytics opt-out · Digital Advertising Alliance · Network Advertising Initiative.
6. How long we keep information
We keep personal information only as long as needed for the purposes above:
- Order records: for as long as tax, accounting, and other legal requirements require.
- Account information: until you close your account or ask us to delete it, unless we must keep some of it for the reasons above.
- Support conversations: for as long as needed to resolve your request and keep a reasonable record of it.
- Restock alert requests: until the alert is sent or you cancel it.
- Marketing lists: until you unsubscribe; we keep a record of the opt-out so we don't contact you again.
- Cookies: from the end of your visit up to two years, depending on the cookie. Your consent choice is stored for up to 12 months.
7. Your privacy rights
US residents. Depending on your state (including California, Colorado, Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Indiana, Iowa, Kentucky, Minnesota, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Jersey, Oregon, Rhode Island, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, and Virginia), you may have the right to:
- Know what personal information we collect about you and how we use and disclose it, and get a copy of it.
- Correct inaccurate personal information.
- Delete personal information we hold about you, subject to legal exceptions.
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information and of targeted advertising.
- Limit use of sensitive personal information — we do not collect sensitive personal information for purposes that would trigger this right.
- Not be discriminated against for exercising these rights.
- Appeal our decision if we deny your request, where your state provides that right.
How to exercise your rights
- Opt out of sale/sharing/targeted ads: use Your Privacy Choices or Do Not Sell or Share My Personal Information, or turn on Global Privacy Control in your browser.
- Access, correction, deletion: submit a Customer Data Request or email info@norsefoundry.com.
- Appeals: reply to our decision or email info@norsefoundry.com with "Privacy Appeal" in the subject line. If we deny your appeal, you may contact your state Attorney General.
To protect your information, we will verify your request by matching details you give us (such as your email address and a recent order number) to our records. You may use an authorized agent; we may ask the agent for proof of your permission and ask you to confirm your identity. We will respond within the time your state's law requires (generally 45 days).
California "Shine the Light." We do not share personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes as defined by California Civil Code § 1798.83.
UK, EU/EEA, and Swiss residents. We do not currently sell or ship to the UK, EU/EEA, or Switzerland, but this section applies if you visit the Site from these regions or bought from us in the past. We process your personal information on these legal bases: to perform our contract with you (orders, support); with your consent (analytics and marketing cookies, marketing emails); for our legitimate interests (site security, fraud prevention, improving our products), balanced against your rights; and to comply with legal obligations (tax and accounting records). You have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or object to processing of your personal information, to data portability, and to withdraw consent at any time without affecting earlier processing. Contact info@norsefoundry.com to exercise these rights.
International transfers. We are based in the United States. Your information is processed in the United States and in other countries where our service providers operate; for EU/EEA visitors, Shopify may first process it in Ireland before transferring it to Canada, the United States, and elsewhere. Where required, transfers rely on safeguards such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses or the EU–US Data Privacy Framework, and for UK data, the UK International Data Transfer Addendum or the UK Extension to the Data Privacy Framework. See Shopify's privacy and GDPR information.
If you are unhappy with how we handled your information, please contact us first. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority (in the UK, the Information Commissioner's Office).
8. Restock text alerts
We do not send marketing text messages. If you choose SMS or WhatsApp for a restock alert, we use your number only to send that alert, and message and data rates may apply. Reply STOP to cancel. We do not sell or share your mobile number or opt-in data with third parties for their marketing.
9. Children
The Site is intended for people 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU/UK). If you believe a child has given us personal information, contact info@norsefoundry.com and we will delete it.
10. Security
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards, and our platform and payment providers use encryption to protect payment data. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will change the "Last updated" date at the top and, for material changes, give notice on the Site or by email.
